At the 2025 Cannes Film Festival, Starship Entertainment announced it acquired the rights to adapt the famous Iraqi play 'Heaven Opens Its Doors Late' by Falah Shakir into a feature film. Directed by Yasir Al-Yasiri, the film will depict the emotional narrative of a prisoner returning home after a decade to find his wife no longer recognizes him. The play, originally directed by Mohsen Al-Ali, won awards across the Arab world and will now reach a global audience through this cinematic transformation.
